Cape Town-based musician Bahbahroo debuts on the Lilies label with a short, alt rock double-single 'It Takes Time' – songs that his dealings with notions of time, relationships, trying over and over again, and finding some sense of freedom within it all.

on It Takes Time, Bah Bah takes us on two short trips soundtracked by guitar riffs and loops that playfully walk between being truly off-kilter and surprisingly catchy.
as a nod to his bedroom-rock, hip-hop and alternative influences – his lyrics centre the do-it-yourself ethos that forms the backbone of these sounds and asks: “how long will take to get what’s mine?”. Knowing full-well that greater things lie ahead of us.

Almost-assuredly he reminds us: “I guess it takes time.”
